Hot Spare vs. Cold Spare
So I'm gearing up to add more drives to my server and redo my RaidZ to a RaidZ2 but I'm unsure how I want to go about doing my spare drive. My plan is to do a 6 drive RaidZ2 with 4TB drives and having one Spare. I'm not sure if I want to have a hot spare or a cold spare. What does everyone think...
