Managing Multiple Systems

TrueCommand has several multisystem management capabilities including the [Fleet Dashboard}(/truecommand/userguide/fleetdashboard/) with more in development for future releases.

Mupliptle System Configuration Management

TrueCommand can manage TrueNAS Config files, and restore a single config file to multiple systems.

To apply a config to multiple systems, first create a config backup from the TrueNAS system with the settings to apply to other TrueNAS systems.

While on the main Dashboard, click on the TrueNAS system name to open the single system detailed view.

Create a Config Backup

To create a config backup, from either the main Dashboard, Fleet Dashboard or Systems screens:

Click the more_vert icon to open the system options menu, then click Config Backups to open the Config Backup screen.

Click CREATE BACKUP. TrueCommand creates a configuration backup and adds it to the list with the creation date, and TrueNAS version the system is using at the time.

Restore From Config Backup

Set the config backup to restore, then click the Restore icon to open the Restore System Config window.

Click ADD SYSTEM and select a system(s) to use the the config file to restore.

The system name displays in the window. Repeat to add as many systems as you want to restore with this config backup. Click CONFIRM to upload the config backup to the selected TrueNAS system(s).

Viewing Multiple Systems

Administrator accounts have access to the Systems screen that lists all TrueNAS systems managed by TrueCommand.

Non-administrator accounts have access to the Systems Inventory screen which lists only the systems they have permissions to access.
