TrueNAS CORE 13.3
13.3-U1.2 marks the final release for the TrueNAS CORE 13.3 software train. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our community users who have journeyed with us throughout the life-cycle of TrueNAS CORE 13.3.
As we close this train, we invite you to explore our newest TrueNAS Community Edition solutions. TrueNAS 25.04 (Fangtooth) brings improvements to Apps and OpenZFS for both Community and Enterprise users, and is the recommended migration path for current 13.3 installations.
If any security or data integrity issues do arise, we will notify the Community of these. The expected resolution will be in the TrueNAS Community Edition.
TrueNAS CORE 13.3, the latest version of the most reliable and highest-quality platform for traditional primary storage use cases, continues to focus on ensuring storage reliability, stability, and security for existing users.
With this release, TrueNAS CORE enters a sustaining engineering phase within the TrueNAS project.
TrueNAS CORE 13.3 includes these updates:
- FreeBSD 13.3
- OpenZFS 2.2.3
- Samba 4.19
- Updates to SMART, Network UPS Tools (NUT), and other services
- Various security and bug fixes
TrueNAS 13.3-RELEASE is intended solely for community users looking for incremental fixes specific to FreeBSD 13.3, Jails, Bhyve, OpenZFS, and Samba. See the official announcement for details and upgrade recommendations.
13.3-RELEASE is not available for Enterprise system upgrades. TrueNAS 13.0 remains the recommended option for Enterprise deployments in a stable production environment. TrueNAS 13.0 continues to be supported with security hotfixes and resolutions for any newly discovered major bugs.
