Zvol to cloud synch?

I have setup a backblaze cloud synch but the zvol i wnat to backup is not selectable. Is this by design or a bug?

rclone (the software that does the cloud sync) deals with files, and zvols aren't files. You'd need to either mount that zvol to FreeNAS and then back up its individual files, or run the backup from whatever system is using that zvol as its storage.

the zvol is inside a freenas pool. ok so if i want to backup the files i'll have to switch from a zvol based iscsi to a file based one...am i reading this correctly?
