Hello Forum,
Not sure if anyone else has seen anything similar to what I am seeing. I have only noticed this recently, I have not done any updates of late and I'm sure it wasn't happening when I first set up the system.
When I logon to the server via ssh and run the following, zpool status, I get this....
NAME SIZE USED AVAIL CAP HEALTH ALTROOT
TANK 2.72T 1.08T 1.64T 39% ONLINE /mnt
Which is all well and good and it looks like I have 1.64TB available. However. When I look in the GUI I get the following... ( have attached a screen dump as well)
Volume Path Used Available Size Status Available actions
TANK /dev/zvol/TANK/ISCSI-VMS - - 500G -
TANK /mnt/TANK 36.0 KiB (0%) 661.6 GiB 661.6 GiB HEALTHY
TANK /mnt/TANK/MOVIES 244.7 GiB (61%) 155.3 GiB 400.0 GiB HEALTHY
TANK /mnt/TANK/MUSIC 72.4 GiB (90%) 7.6 GiB 80.0 GiB HEALTHY
TANK /mnt/TANK/NIGEL 140.3 GiB (70%) 59.7 GiB 200.0 GiB HEALTHY
TANK /mnt/TANK/TINA 9.5 GiB (63%) 5.5 GiB 15.0 GiB HEALTHY
TANK /mnt/TANK/ISO-IMAGES 134.2 GiB (78%) 35.8 GiB 170.0 GiB HEALTHY
The way I am reading this is that the second line "TANK /mnt/TANK 36.0 KiB (0%) 661.6 GiB 661.6 GiB HEALTHY " states that the size of the pool is 661.6GB with the same amount free ?? yet, zpool status says the actual size is 2.72T ?? ( I have three 1TB drives in RAIDZ with a hot spare ).
Am I correct in how I am reading this ? Is anyone else seeing similar issues ??
The only thing I have changed recently is adding an ISCSI volume for my ESXi Virtual Machines (from another box of course), could this be what is causing the issue?
Thanks in advance
