UPDATE: it is booting, but take very long and now my ZFS Volume is in Unknown status :(

and i still get the interrupt storm message every second.

Is it possible that the RAID controller has not been connected correctly?

HP Microserver Gen8
16GB RAM
New CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1260L

Hello everyone,

yesterday I replaced the CPU of my server with one with more cores (Intel Xeon E3-1260L) and since then my Freenas 11.2 doesn't boot anymore. I only get the following messages:

I've already googled after it, but found nothing.

i hope someone can help me.

Is that CPU compatible with the system?
Did you have the pool encrypted?

Hi, yes the CPU is compatible with the system, it is detected in POST and in FreeNAS Webinterface.

No, the pool is not encrypted

If you have any add-on devices such as a PCIe network card or an external USB drive, I suggest you remove them as a test and try again.

Well, it looks to me like you were booting from that USB in fact, and it likely failed. You now need to look in your bios and tell the machine to boot from the SSD. If you have FreeNAS installed on it and it's not corrupt, all shoud be well., hopefully. If all isn't well, reinstall FreeNAS on the SSD.

Hi,

I think I solved it! But I can't say exactly how I solved it. I opened the server again and reconnected all cables. Actually it boots normally again. Nevertheless thanks for the answers!
