ZFS Send from 11.0-U4 to 9.1.1 a bad idea?

I saw that the ciphers are not compatible for SSH, but even if i change to allow the ciphers - would the ZFS versions be compatible?

Is it better to try and upgrade the 9.1.1 box? If so, can i upgrade directly to the latest release or do i have to do it point-by-point?

It would probably work but I recommend upgrading if you can. Make sure you have backups and save your config.

Read the upgrading section in the documentation for each major version above 9.1.1 to determine how you should upgrade. There's a drop down box in the upper right side of the screen that you can use to select the version of docs you want. I would read through several major version's documentation on upgrading before proceeding.
