During my shadow copy investigation, I have cloned a snapshot....

Now this clone appears to be eating up all of my drive space....

I have issued the following command

zfs destroy -Rf /dataset/clone.....

No longer is the clone in my dataset list on the WebGUI.. yet my available space continues to be eaten up.. There has been negligible RX data so I'm positive no one is copying new data to the NAS.. Help please?

pce,

Have you tried listing snapshots from the CLI as well as the GUI ?

Take a look here (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19253-01/819-5461/gbcxc/index.html) to see some information on disk space accounting for ZFS Snapshots. It's related to Oracle/Solaris ZFS, however, hopefully the command will work on FreeNAS. I am not in front of my FreeNAS system to test so can't confirm if it does or not.
