Has anyone been using the onboard LSI SAS3008 flashed to IT mode?

That was my next question, including what firmware/driver version for the LSI 3008 is currently included with FreeNAS 9.3.x? I presume that just like the LSI 2108 and prior versions of FreeNAS that the card's firmware must match the driver.

I would guess that SM has the IT file on their FTP site.

It's been running fine for me. Don't mind the dual CPU spec in my signature. I accidentally ordered it instead of the comparable single cpu.

I am planning to order an E5 too and run it on a single processor board as I need 8 cores (ESXi, but I'll deny it if asked by Cyberjock) and would like to have the power saving provided by a 85w TDP processor.

I've done it. It's version 5, iirc.
