Hey Everyone,

I recently bought on ebay a x9scm-f for $90, instead they sent me a x10sla-f. I haven't seen much talk about that particular mobo on here. Did I get a good deal or should I return it?

Well, the x9 model is an LGA1155 microatx board and the x10 is an LGA1150 standard atx one.
If you haven't already purchased a cpu and your chassis can fit an ATX board, then the X10 is a better deal IMHO, because it's newer and you can use a Haswell CPU with it, which in comparison to an equivalent Sandy/Ivy bridge CPU will be faster and more energy efficient.

That's because no one here would be a SLA for FreeNAS use. It has a bunch of PCI slots and two fewer PCIe slots than the X9SCM. If that isn't an issue to you, then you could probably just buy the appropriate CPU for the SLA board and move on with your life. I'd feel kinda ripped off if it were me.
