Windows Share Purpose setting

Dear All,

I just trying to change the freenas to truenas system. I was a normal windows sharing file by SMB. But I cannot disable the <Browsable to network clients> on Default share parameters

which option is the best choose of "Purpose" for windows normal sharing and any influences on other choose? thx all.

You can use the "default share parameters" and type "browseable = no" in the Auxiliary Parameters setting.

There is a "no presets" option. The "default share parameters" option just sets what we use for defaults. If you want to change some of those things, switch to "no presets" and customize. If you only need to make a share "hidden" in net share enum output, then you can also add a "$" to the end of your share name (which is normal Windows convention for such a thing) without having to alter the "browsable" checkbox.
