I've been running freenas fine for about a year now. And I recently upgraded to 11.3 and now I can't connect to any of my shares at all. And I get the generic
Windows cannot access \\freenas\poseidon
You do not have permission to access \\192.168.1.40\poseidon\. Contact you network administrator to request access

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

You can start by setting the auxiliary parameter under Services->SMB "log level = 1, auth_audit = 3" and restarting the SMB service. This will allow you to see the authentication attempts in /var/log/samba4/log.smbd.

What ACLs are set on the share? (and the path leading to it)
Do all of your users show up in the output of "pdbedit -L"?
