I am in the process of ordering parts for my backup freenas server. I am planning to get the same Supermicro 847 Chassis for this backup server as well.

Since this will only serve as a backup server, I am thinking of using the X10SDV-4C-TLN2F motherboard for this and am wondering if this motherboard can accommodate the LSI 9211 HBA. I am planning on going with 64GB ECC RAM for this.

Please advice if the LSI 9211 and this motherboard will be compatible.

I don't see why not. According to the Motherboard Specs; it has "1x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot". But, just to be safe I would see what others say as well. ;)

Note: I did not check to see if the Motherboard (Mini-ITX) works/fits for your Chassis.

Chassis Specs show:
4U chassis support for motherboards up to size ATX, E-ATX,
13.68" x 13", UIO motherboards

While I don't see a Mini-ITX listed, it has been a long time since I needed to build a system. Perhaps one of the other contributors could shed light on this or you could even ask SuperMicro.

Except out of pure oversight, any chassis will have mounting holes for miniITX boards.
