Im building a very basic system for freenas and need to know if there is anything i should be looking out for when configuring the system? i will want to set up a RAID 10 hopefully, but that depends on my budget (that would mean i need a dedicated RAID card). i will also be adding a 3rd party NIC card (because in re-using an old socket 775 motherboard and it only has a 10/100 NIC.)

What about TV Cards?
Are they included?
Especially the bktr(4) driver?

Because I would setup Proto´s MythTV PBI with a Pinnacle Pro PCI Card to watch TV over XBMC

If you are using a 775 socket motherboard you are almost certainly limited to 8GB of RAM(if not less). That's not much depending on the size of your zpool. Consult the manual, section on RAM, to see how much you will need. ZFS is extremely RAM hungry and 775 CPUs are quite old, so don't expect miracles performance-wise.
