Why is K3S server constantly writing to disk on Truenas scale?

I am using the latest Truenas Scale and would really like to stop this behaviour. I use my NAS mostly for archival purposes so I want my disks to spin down after inactivity, how do I stop it from constantly writing at a rate of like 0.08-0/05 MB/s?

Add an SSD and use this as Kubernetes pool. Kubernetes does have state that it maintains.
