Why FreeNAS need a new UI?

Recently I saw in RC release notes that new UI require testing, so I give it a try, but I was surprised in a bad way how ugly it is. New UI reminds me devices from early 2000.

What is the reasons to change UI if old UI already one of the best UI along other NAS software distributions?

This question has been discussed to death. Then it was reanimated in a grotesque horror movie scene and discussed again. Then a stake was driven through its heart. But then they managed to get Peter Cushing to do another movie and it only got less original.
