Hi guys

I'm currently trying to research this on here, but wanted to post as well because I'm obsessed with this build!

Basically, I want to set up my freeNAS, once built, to be used predominantly for torrent downloads (preferably with something like Transmission & CouchPotatoe) and 1080p media streaming to a Smart TV and iPad.

Is there a particular version of freeNAS that I should use? (i.e. it's a very simple NAS for a straight forward purpose, so the simpler the install and configuration the better - especially considering I have ZERO knowledge on this stuff)

Cheers

Pick the latest version and install either the 64 or 32 bit version of the software. That's it.

The install is extremely simple - some people get it installed and don't even realize it's done.

Setting up the drives, configuring it, etc. will take some time.

Please read the documentation and Cyberjock's guide.
