Hi guys,

I searched the net, but couldn't find a thing.

I use a Intel DQ87PG board and tumbled over the common error 19 during the mounting. I read that I have to disable xHCI. But can me tell somebody where I can find this in Intel's Visual BIOS? BTW: I use a SSD not a USB 3.0 drive.

Thanks

Carsten

Whether the xhci driver is enabled/disabled by default has changed, depending upon the FreeNAS version. If you are installing 9.2.0, it is already disabled by default. The 9.2.0 Guide indicates the BIOS option in the Hardware Recommendations section (the actual name will vary by BIOS):

If you receive a "failed with error 19" message when trying to boot FreeNAS®, make sure that xHCI/USB3 is disabled in the system BIOS.

But that's exactly my question. Where do I disable it under "Intel VISUAL Bios"?

Meanwhile I disabled all USB ports, but that didn't help either. I'm also wondering why I have no problem starting FreeNAS 9.2.0 from my USB2.0 4 GB stick (pluged in a USB 3.0 port), but not from my Sandisk X110 128 GB SSD.

Thanks

After some futher investigation it seems there isn't a setting for xHCI in Intel's Visual BIOS. This BIOS allows you to search for keywords, but typing in xH already brings no results.

Thanks
