Morning,
This is first time using FreeNAS and looking forward to the TrueNAS version. I hope I didn't make a hugh mistake. I installed on a old Inspiron 14-5000 single HD laptop, followed a few tutorial on YouTube on how to create shares, install nextCloud and was successful. I bought a separate HD for this project to experiment and test FreeNAS and found this is what I was looking. Moved a lot of files to those shares and for two weeks was very satisfied.
I always use this laptop for testing OS. So briefly I removed the HD, ScanDisk and put them aside to test out a OBS Unbuntu OS Project for a few days. After testing, I returned back to FressNAS.
1st Problem) it couldn't create a IP address for the web site UI, so a) I select to reset defaults and that didn't work, b) configure the IP address manually without entering any values because I wanted it to be dynamic and it was successful in creating the original IP.
2nd Problem) open the Pools UI and all my data folders are missing, I maybe I corrupt the ScanDisk so I reinstalled the OS and still no data folders.
Therefore I'm assuming that all my files where saved on the ScanDisk or what happen?
