What's stored in the metadata of encrypted datasets?

Hi,

so far I read a lot of times here in the forum that even on drives with encrypted datasets there is some unencrypted data (about the encrypted datasets) which could give hints to the stored data.
Could someone tell me please, which information exactly is stored in this metadata?
