What sata mode to use for zfs raid?

I'm just wondering what mode I should set for the sata controller on my motherboard to get the best performance on a zfs raid. I have ide, ahci and raid modes available on my board.

AHCI

While one shouldn't mix hardware RAID with RAIDz, your RAID is likely fake raid and wouldn't work, even if you tried to use it.

Hey, the manual is beautifully written and has this info on page 12. Follow it and you cannot go wrong.
