What is the scope of System 2FA?

I understand it applies to Web UI and to SSH login. But I have an admin cleverly called root and a people cleverly called davey. Davey owns the music and other media normally manipulated by MacOS. Good. Does 2FA apply to users other than the senior admin? Need to mention user scope in the documentation. 2FA is normally a property of the account.

I was slow to enable 2FA because I was concerned that it would apply to SMB connections. Apparently not, thank you. Use cases are Time Machine spool, Media library, Roon Core host, and Roon database backup.

I keep my 2FA magic in 1Password. This has worked well so far. With the new cloud architecture, i can get them from iPad, iPhone, this Mac, and regular web access.

2FA only applies to root for the Web UI and for SSH logins (if enabled).
