Hey guys, this has probably been covered in the forums but I'm in a time crunch and couldn't take the time to find it. Basically I'm planning on installing FreeNAS on a USB drive and having 4 2TB drives in a RAIDZ as my storage volume. What I'm wanting to know is if there is a way to backup or configure the install so that if my USB drive dies and I have to replace it I can still access the volume array and do not lose my data. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, you can export and backup your config file and just import it into a fresh FreeNAS installation.
Even without the config file you would usually not lose any data, just all the settings (users, services, etc.).
