Hey, sorry about this seriously noobie question, but I searched on the forums and all the posts that were answered were older.

I am trying to use WeVPN on either Qbittorrent or Transmission while on FreeNAS. Normally I on a desktop, I can just turn on the app and connect to a server then start torrenting. I've tried messing around with the HTTP IP in the settings for Qbittorrent but not sure what I am doing wrong. Networking is really complicated to me. WeVPN does not have SOCC5 yet.

I am using a
Dell Optiplex 9010,
16gb ram,
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz ,
TP-Link TG-3468 NIC.

I emailed WeVPN and customer support told me they can use WeVPN with their personal NAS, one of those pre-made kind i believe.

So just to re-iterate, I am trying to use my WeVPN account on a torrent program in Freenas.

Thank you.

According to their FAQ, neither Linux nor FreeBSD are currently supported. Only Android-based NAS devices are currently supported. The only option left is to run WeVPN inside a Windows VM on FreeNAS.

Thank you for your fast response. I guess I will have to wait for them to update. I was trying to think of anything that would be a solution but ran out of ideas really quick lol. You don't happen to know a current guide to use OpenVPN to access FreeNAS while outside the LAN do you?
