HI !
I "play" with Truenas for about a year now with a lot of fun ! I use it for storage and run some applications for a media server.

I was trying to make Tailscale work (it wasn't immediatly, and I was tickling around), I tried to "authorize IP" in a settings menu that I don't remember.
When I applied the IP of Tailscale for my distant machine, the service rebooted.
Then the Truenas UI was unaccessable from any machines. All the applications runs, no problem, I can access them.

I just locked myself out of the web UI of Truenas Scale.

Is there a solution maybe from the CLI or something else ?
I would love not to do a factory reset :D

Best to report your hardware specs... see if there is a local terminal or IPMI port

I installed Turenas Scale on an old hardware, and I found the settings that I modified.
Its under System Settings -> Advanced -> Allowed IP Addresses

From what I read, every settings should be accessible from the CLI (https://www.truenas.com/docs/scale/scaleclireference/)
But I cant find this particular settings since the menus are not alike...

Is someone knows where I can find the "allowed IP addresses" in the CLI ?

Seems it's under System General... can be viewed with config. > ui_allowlist

I don't see a way to change it there, so you may need to resort to the API:

midclt call system.general.config | jq

From there using midclt call system.general.update...where you would set ui_allowlist to an empty list to allow all IPs.

Hello all

@sretalla Sorry for my ignorance and lack of capabilities.

I too have the same issue

the issue is on a truenas scale installed on a supermicro x10.

I currently moved my server to a location where i can hook up the server to a monitor.

If i understand this correctly I would
  1. power up the server
  2. once the server is up
  3. at the prompt i type "midclt call system.general.config | jq" and press return
  4. then i type "midclt call system.general.update" and press return
thien i should be able to access this server from a browser from any pc

Correct?

Thank you in advance for your assist
