All, just wanted to let everyone know that we are still reviewing all the ideas. Thank you all for all the great ideas and feedback! I will be following up with this forum very soon!
I would love it if when you selected make home share you had options for a new dataset to be created for each user and a quota applied. Its great that when you plug-in AD users automatically get a folder with the right permissions created when they login but most people need to be able to control each users quota.
Hmmm... isn't that already do-able, by configuring which adapter/IP gets used for each service?
eg when looking in the iSCSI section of my FreeNAS box here, it shows each of my network adapters (a mix of 1 and 10GbE), allowing me to disable traffic for that protocol on any of them. Sounds like what're you're meaning?
I think, that "it is a future, not a bug" (for manual update). Older version FN have textbox for sha256 string to check consistency. This new versions of FN dont have it (it connect to "update-master.ixsystems.com").

A simple way to mount a locally attached (to the NAS box) USB device, for performing a local (ZFS) backup. Remember, a lot of users are home-users with relatively low storage requirements, and a easy-to-use local backup feature would be extremely useful and good practice to promote.
