Talk about a nice-looking little box that might be repurposed to run FreeNAS... but rather pricey, and what to do with the Windows Server 2012? Heh.

If only I had the money.. A dedicated 2.5 boot? The drives are atleast SE.. Pricey but its not a "Red" which is probably a good thing.. It's what I would use if I could afford it.. I don't know if power ports are typical on devices like these but seems like a big bonus.. Assuming its not filled with crap capacitors etc.. Seems clean but plasticky? Might just be those pictures..

I picked "Hardware" because it appears to meet all the necessary specifications to run FreeNAS. For the most part, NAS platforms are based on SoC or Atom technology, and it is slightly unusual to find a 4-bay NAS product sporting mid-to-high range Xeon E3 CPU offerings (the 6100) and 16GB out of the box. I think the only reason it does is the Windows Server 2012.
