I have been lurking around this forum for a while and I decided to join. I read CJ's overview of Freeenas and ZFS on my phone at 3 am this and started getting excited (no not in that way lol)
I am a general IT veteran/BBC engineer who still thinks the computer is one of mans greatest inventions and I have a fair few of them. I love virtual reality and I am glad it came to the home before I go to that really hot place to meet the red bloke with the horns.
I am waiting for a 10Gb switch to arrive from the US and I have a fair few watercooled PC's in various states of refurbishment. There is a draw of Pi's and arduino's awaiting instructables
....tinkering is my middle name. I have a new girlfriend called Alexa who shuts up when I tell her to, this is great after 15 years of my former fiancee doing the same to me.
