Hello, beginner here. I have an EPYC 7401p and am deciding on whether to watercool it or not. I only plan on using it for large amounts of storage and for running Scrutiny. Would there be any significant benefit to to watercool it, like longetivity or lower temps during scrubs? Looking for other opinions of it since I'm unfamiliar with how heavy or often each cpu job/load is.
Additional notes:
My NAS will be in the same box as my watercooled workstation/gaming pc as it is in a dual motherboard case (thermaltake wp200), so it would be quite easy to just add in a cpu waterblock and squeeze it into my current loop, therefore price would not be much of an issue. However, I currently only have one pump, and it is attached to the other pc, therefore it has to be on along with the NAS, other wise the water in the cpu block would be stagnant. So if I have to do maintenance on my loop or workstation, the server has to go offline also. Also, the placement of the tubes would be awkward, thus I am leaning heavily towards air cooling.
