i had planned to find this information out for myself but I'm getting a bit stumped here.
(Hopefully you can see attached screenshot)
Following this guide i found
http://forums.freenas.org/showthrea...dlna-on-the-freenas-nightlies-post-09-25-2011
pretty much to the letter, and once iv done exactly as it says i fire up minidlna and get this error message about it not being able to read the config
file.. As you can see that is because its looking in the default directory. /mnt/tank/... I didn't create this.. It's just a filler-in until you change it. My
content is on /mnt/Freenas/
so for example:
/mnt/Freenas/Movies
as far as i can see my minidlna.conf file is in /usr/local/etc/.. and definitely not under /mnt/tank/home/myuser/
I did try and think outside the box a bit and moved the .conf file to this default directory i never created.. It
proved to be a not-so-great idea.
Iv read and re-read all the steps.. I can't for the life of me work out where iv missed the part where I'm meant to setup how to find the .conf file.
Been at it for a few hours though, but oh well.. More coffee.. more learning..
