VMware ESXi 6.0 and NFS 4.1?

Hi All,

I am looking for suggestions on using NFS 4.1 on FreeNAS to serve up ISO images or a small VM to my home ESXi box. At one time there was a person who recompiled NFS for FreeBSD to get better IOPS. Is this still an issue or is there a way now with a tuneable to get the same results at the NFS application layer and still allow ZFS to handle the disk writes?

Well, since NFS 4.1 isn't on FreeNAS, the question doesn't matter as it's not an option. :P
