Second step is to get NTP for your TrueNAS up and running.

Ok thanks Patrick .. its 15min till 6pm est .. So I will do that at 6pm ...

I am not sure about how to get the NTP's up and running .. Like I have said before I am very new to TrueNas and not sure on how to progress ..

No need to wait - just set your hardware clock to four hours later than your local time. I already told you to set your BIOS clock to UTC, remember? That's what I meant by that. 6 pm at your location is midnight at my location and 10 pm UTC. Unix clocks run in UTC ...

As for the NTP - make sure, IP address, default gateway and DNS server of your TrueNAS are set correctly. Try if you can e.g. ping google.com. If that is successful, NTP should just work when enabled, You can check by typing ntpq peers.

Please don't post pictures of commands and output. Use ssh to login to your NAS system and copy and paste text. Thanks. There are "CODE" tags in this forum to make commands and results more readable.

I did try to ping google and it didn't work .. So I was looking around the network screens and found this page .. I am going to assume that more of this screen needs to be filled out ..

All I did was go into the network interfaces and set it for static ip address instead of dhcp ..

Also not sure what you mean when you say ssh to login .. I am just going to the ip address of the TrueNas box in chrome and then logging in that way ..

Like I said I am new and dont know what I am doing .. yet ..
