my mainboard has 4 lan ports (Network Controllers Quad LAN with Intel Ethernet Controller I210 (4 RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports)). In truenas they are anmed eno1-eno4. Eno1 is used for as (main) lan for the hypervisor. I understood that when I use a virtual machine, normally the main lan will also be used for the vm in a way that in the vm a virtual lan adapter is defined and the network traffic of the vm is bridged to the hypervisor lan adapter somehow.
I would like to know whether I can use one of the other lan adapters of my mainboard dedicated directly to a vm (pass through??) and how that can be established?
