Virtual networks

I currently run some VM's in virtual box on my PC and want to run up some virtual machines (windows and linux hosts) on my TrueNas box mainly to utilize the CPU and memory resources and take the load of my PC.

For convenience mainly I run all the VirtualBox machines on a internal (virtual) network within VirtualBox rather that bridging them to my one and only wifi adapter in my PC. Is there a way to create a similar "virtual network" on the TrueNas host so the VM's can talk to each other within the virtualization environment?

I experimented with creating a vlan on the physical interface on TrueNas box (only one physical port in this little machine) and then I put the virtual machine on that vlan and that works but it still is bound to the physical interface and, potentially, accessible from the "real" network which is not needed or desired.

Any suggestions?

Create a bridge with no physical members and assign your VMs there.
