Virtual Box 3D Acceleration

Can freeness provide the virtual box plugin access to 3d hardware for hardware acceleration within a VM? I don't have a 3d card installed now, hence no 3d option for acceleration - but want to know if I add a 3d card if virtual box would be able to accelerated a VM's video.

No. FreeNAS doesn't have any drivers added that you wouldn't expect to find in a file server OS. So no. Nothing is stopping you from adding it and compiling FreeNAS yourself if you are that ambitious. ;)
