View file access

is there anywhere in TrueNAS Core where you can see which hard disk is currently accessing which file ?

maybe you're looking for something like lsof (list open files), but your question is not at all clear on what you expect to be able to see... in particular in reference to individual disk and not pool or VDEV... and to what end.

Maybe you're talking about file access auditing?

i have constant hard disk activity and i don't know what truenas is doing all the time. The system dataset is already on the boot ssd disk.

Does your System Dataset (.system) live in your HDD pool?

No, its in the boot pool, which is an SSD.
