Would it be OK to use both the on board motherboard sata connections and a sas raid card for freenas? We currently have a LSI SAS9211-8i with all connections being utilized. The motherboard is a Supermicro (
MBD-X10SAT-O
). The LSI card is set into IT mode so we are not using hardware raid.
