Hey there,

I am using FreeNAS in an HP ProLiant MicroServer.

I have an AOC USB LCD Monitor that I would like to use as the primary monitor, because - like the box - it is lightweight and easy to carry.
The other benefit is that it runs from USB power, so no extra cables are needed.

FreeNAS picks up the screen as it gets put in (such as the name of the device - seen using a normal monitor), but doesnt display anything on it.
My primary assumption would be that FreeNAS doesnt come shipped with these drivers.

Is there any way I can get this working? I would really like to use this USB monitor.

USB Monitor Details:
Product Name: e1649Fwu
Model Number: 156LM00003

Try googling with "FreeBSD" and the model # or product name. There seems to be very little info about it relating to FreeBSD, so it doesn't seem likely that its supported. You could try choosing "Safe Mode" from the FreeBSD boot menu as FreeNAS boots and see if that works, or download a FreeBSD live CD/DVD and see if it'll work with that. Otherwise it doesn't look promising.

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, the initial search got me nowhere.

Upon deeper digging, I found a select few people with the same issue as mine.
Unfortunately, none of which provided any solutions.
