SOLVED USB Drives

Hi all.

I have just moved to TrueNas Core 12 today. I have setup two usb drives for the OS boot drives. Is there any way to move logging ect off these to the main pool to reduce wear and tear on them ?

Not 100%, but moving the system dataset to the data pool (if it didn't happen automatically) will be the only action you can take.

System | System Dataset (tick the box for syslog also).

Plugging the USB drives into USB 2 ports (if you have them) may also help to reduce wear on the onboard controllers.

Perfect it has moved the system data set was done automatically. I was not sure if that would have been done.
