Hi,

I do not need a 10 GBit connection.

Client and host should be upgraded to 5 GBit.

How does FreeBSD / TrueNAS operate with USB 3 - 5 GBit network connector e.g. QNAPs QNA-UC5G1T ?

I was thinking of USB 3 connection for the host because of re-useability compared to a PCI E add in card.

If USB 3 for the host is a no-go:

What is a solid 5 GBit PCE E add in card recommendation without a fan?

Thanks

After some ebay'ing I found those:

HP 533FLR-T 2-Port 10GbE PCI-Express x8 Network Adapter 700757-001 701534-001

So far they should work with FreeBSD, yes?

General Googling suggests this will work with either the compiled-in Broadcom bxe driver or the loadable bxnt driver. However, Chelsios have the most track record in production, and have the best chance of success.

Hello @Samuel Tai

the cards do not show up, I have opened another thread. If you do find the time then your support is greatly appreciated:

PS:

is this a typo: ? "...loadable bxnt..."
