Upgrading samba

I'm running into an mpv network caching issue that goes away on samba 4.10.10 using the same config. Is it at all possible to manually update samba from 9.10.2-U6's 4.5.11 to 4.10.10?

That would be quite a jump. Why not at least update to FreeNAS 11.2-U7 and see if the problem isn't already fixed?

Updating samba from 4.5 to 4.7 requires updates to the tdb, talloc, lmdb, cmock, tevent, etc packages as well. It'll be easier to just upgrade and deal with any issues that crop up (none that I can think of off the top of my head).
