I did a firmware upgrade using the webGUI, from 8.1 to 9.2, and all went well, as my network drives are visible as they were before.

After the last reboot of freenas, I was asked for the password, and to type it again.

Now when I try to access the webgui after logging off, my default username and or password is not accepted.

I am not saying I might have made a typo when entering my password and have tried a couple of variations without success.

Is there anyway of retrieving my username and password or am I s*./*d.

If you read the release notes for 9.2 you'd have your answer...

The WebGUI "admin" account is gone. Now you use the root account. So it should be username:root password:whatever-you-entered.

If you forgot, you'll have to go to the machine locally and chose the menu option to reset the password.

Thanks, I knew or thought the password was correct, and admit to being a bit hasty to do the upgrade without reading the release notes.
