I'm interested to migrate my existing FreeNAS 9.10.2-U6 deployment to TrueNAS Core 12.0-U3.1
Some simple background of my FreeNAS deployment ....
- 100GB SSD Boot Drive
- 100GB (100GB x2) Mirror SSD ZIL
- 500GB (250GB x2) Striped SSD L2ARC
- 28 x 3TB Drives, 14 x Mirrored VDEVs Striped
- iSCSI Enabled
- SMB Enabled
There are no plugins or or jails active on my deployment. It's just simple iSCSI for ESX, and SMB for file shares.
Obviously, in order to upgrade, I would shut down all of my VM's, and SMB usage. That said, what is the appropriate upgrade path for an environment like this? I assume I can't just jump from 9.10.2-U6 to 12.0-U3.1. Maybe you can??? Can anyone offer advice on the best path forward in order to complete this? Any concerns? Any pitfalls?
