Upgrade Path 11.3U5 to 13?

My Stable FreeNas 11.3U5 is need of an upgrade.

Recommendations for moving to 12? or 13? First 12 then 13 or straight to 13?

Should I disconnect the drives with my pools so my Boot Drives are the only ones on the system when I do the upgrade?

I have dual boot drives, how do I know which one to upgrade (and does the other one automatically get updated at some point?)

The dang thing just runs so I really don't want to screw it up!

You could, but should not be necessary.

Latest 11.3 to latest 12 then latest13 is the "best" way.

You may get away with the 11.3 straight to 13... up to you

Remember: a boot pool upgrade leaves the old boot environment behind and you can just go back to it if you don't like what happened (as long as you don't do the pool upgrades right away).
