Hi,

I spent hundreds of hours learning before building my FreeNAS box a little under a year ago. And because it has been working so flawlessly I'm pretty deskilled at this stage.

I want to upgrade to the most recent version - what is the best way to go about this. Create a USB stick with the most recent release and import a back up of the old settings?

Thanks very much,

David

Yup. And if you're paranoid or have a large config or just like to test things first, first boot up a VM or a test system with the latest SU, import your config, and see if anything breaks.

With this you will have to make similar datasets and pool name before you import your configuration I think.
