Good Evening,

I updated from Freenas to Truenas and it seems to work perfectly on Windows 10. I really like this OS and appreciate the very good work developpers have made... a big Thank you to them.
Unfortunately, on my linux Kubuntu 20.10 my shares on smb are not available anymore (everything worked perfectly on Freenas).
I can access to the NAS through the web interface but not to the files with dolphin.

Has someone faced and solved the same problem, by chance ?

Thanks,
Regards

Manu

Not run into this specifically. Does your Linux client throw any errors when it fails out? Do you know offhand how its configured?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
My QNAP NAS is available without any problem.
My freenas is avaible from windows only and when I try to reach it on Linux it shows me 4 grey icons and one blue one.
When I click on the grey ones it opens a window in Dolphin with "freenas.https" and on the blue one, it opens my browser and shows:

Ce site est inaccessible
Impossible de trouver l'adresse IP du serveur de freenas.local.
Voici quelques conseils :
  • Changing DNS over HTTPS settings
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
Check your DNS over HTTPS settings
Go to Opera > Preferences… > System > Use DNS-over-HTTPS instead of the system’s DNS settings and check your DNS-over-HTTPS provider.

To make it clear I have made a screenshot. You will see that I still have access to the NAS through web browser.

FYI, I only use linux for photography (darktable) because it works better but I'm not a geek.

Thanks

P.S. Sorry for the French text but the language of the system is set to French
