Hey there,

i am new to TrueNAS, just finished setting up the system and now after a couple of days i got this warning message (i did get this a couple days ago, and now again):

Current alerts:
* The following system core files were found: smbd.core. Please create a ticket at https://jira.ixsystems.com/and attach the relevant core files along with a system debug. Once the core files have been archived and attached to the ticket, they may be removed by running the following command in shell: 'rm /var/db/system/cores/*'.
* 11214 SSH login failures:

What does that SMB warning mean? What is a core file?

The SSH warnings are understandable, but annoying. Is there anything like fail2ban in TrueNAS?

Thank you so much,

Pcace

EDIT: the NAS is reachable from outside via SSH/22, root login is disabled.
