Hello,

Using FreeNAS-9.2.1.9-RELEASE-x64 (2bbba09)

Recently I had to re-install the FreeNAS application on my USB key.

I uploaded my config and everything went back to normal perfectly.

Everything, except one encrypted volume.

Before this re-installation, I had encrypted the volume, then I downloaded the GELI key.

Now, all I see in "Storage" in my Volume name and the it's written "locked" everywhere.

At the bottom I have a little key & keyhole icon which reads "Unlock" but when I click it, the only thing that happens is that it says "Volume failed unlocking".

It doesn't ask to upload my GELI key.

I don't even know where or how to upload my GELI key.

Thanks!

hum... never mind... I found the answer while messing around.

Solution, for posterity, is:

1) Detach the locked volume.

2) Auto-import it (using the buttons on top, in the storage tab of the GUI)
Then you can select the GELI key

I did not specify a passphrase so I just left it blank.
It worked without a itch.

That was the way to correct the issue too.

That, or delete the keyfile in /data/geli. ;)

This is a bug that has been reported. You figured out the correct solution.

That was the way to correct the issue too.

It's the only solution.

The key not being there is the problem. You can't delete what isn't there.
