Unhealthy Pool alert - please advise

Hi all.

I got this alert from my NAS via email: "Pool volume_1 state is ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected".

Looking at my pools, I see this: "volume_1 ONLINE (Unhealthy) | 4.48 TiB (85%) Used | 804.2 GiB Free"

(Note that I'm aware that the pool is low on space and intend to expand it once I've rehoused my server in a case with more drive bays.)

Pool status shows the following:

I'm assuming that da0 is suspect, given that it's the only one showing a non-zero value. I've checked the individual drives' SMART test results in Storage / Disks and none of them show any errors, including da0.

I've checked the short SMART results using smartctl -a for each drive (note that ada0 and ada1 are IronWolfs, hence the large number of read and seek errors):

I'm running a long test on da0 and one other drive (I'm hoping the other drive is OK and will provide reasonable reference data) which are going to take a few hours to complete. I'm looking at this post to try and interpret the data.

Based on the above, is it reasonable to assume that da0 has caused the pool to be flagged as unhealthy because of its read errors? Is this error rate significant enough to require replacing the drive, or could I live with it for a while longer?

see what the extended smart test comes up with. I would however make sure you have available a spare drive - just on principle

You can already see that da0 internally agrees with the assessment from ZFS that there are read errors on that drive.

That's a sign that failure of the drive is on the way, so prepare to replace it.

I guess your long test will just further confirm it.

...and it hasn't had a SMART self-test run in 26,000 hours.

Edit: ada0 and ada1 (but particularly ada0) are also running pretty warm. That isn't causing the pool errors, but will tend to degrade them.

I notice that Raw_Read_Error_Rate is unchanged, as are most of the attributes list, but Multi_Zone_Error_Rate has gone from zero to 142. The troubleshooting guide I linked before says:
MultiZone Error Rate can be the cause of a drive failure although a value in this location doesn't always mean it's the fault. It is notable if there are no other failing indications.
It also says:
Much of the other data is manufacturer specific so even if they look like they could be accurate data, odds are they are not important since there are other well known values that do maintain meaning. Let me provide you a great example of what I'm talking about, ID 1 - Raw Read Error Rate. This value represents errors in reading data, right? Yes is the answer however how the manufacturer does this is different between manufacturers and it's all due to design.

That's just confusing me further: not only does TrueNAS report 7 read errors when the drive reports 57, but Raw_Read_Error_Rate and Multi_Zone_Error_Rate are each either the cause of the error or possibly irrelevant. Is there any way to identify exactly what TrueNAS is considering to be the problem?

So far it seems to me that I might as well buy a couple of larger drives and replace the two in the affected pool, hopefully solving the "unhealthy" issue and the free space issue at the same time. Are there any other suggestions?

As for not running a SMART test in 26000 hours: I guess I assumed that TrueNAS was handling testing itself, so I never thought I needed to set up tasks myself. Also regarding the temperatures: my server's a stock Dell PowerEdge T30, so that's probably as good as they're going to get. They're well within operating range according to manufacturer's specs.
