Unable to setup gmail auth Error: [EPERM] Authentication error (501): b'Invalid base64 data'

Hi all.

Hoping somone can help me out. Im trying to setup Gmail Auth for alert setting and getting this error when i go to send a test email

Error: [EPERM] Authentication error (501): b'Invalid base64 data'

It was working however i had to do a system restore and restored from backup config and ever since then it stopped working.

any help would be appreciated

I would temporarily change it to SMTP with fake details and save, then put back the Gmail settings and re-auth (if that can work).

What version is this? When you restored, did you do it from a backup that contained the "secret seed"?

- changed to SMTP and back with no luck. Got a net error now Error: [EFAULT] Failed to send email: {'joshua(xxxxx)@gmail.com': (550, b'to send email from a blank sender, enable blank senders')}

- SMTP works though so thinking of just leaving the SMTP settings in place

@anodos no secret seed was restored with config. This is latest TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.3
